renew

re·new /rəˈno͞o/

verb

1. resume (an activity) after an interruption.

The most important thing I’ve been learning since starting this Healing Journey is the importance of Renewing My Mind Daily.

I say daily because when you make a decision to heal and move forward from something, the enemy has a way of playing things back in your mind. Details that you had forgotten or push to the back of your mind seems to resurface. It’s the scheme of the enemy to keep you in that same state or frame of mind when you had thoughts of never forgiving the person. Planting those seeds of what they did to you is just unforgivable. Knowing that if you can’t forgive that person nor can God forgive you for your wrong doings (Matthew 6:14-15). When we renew our mind we allow it to be washed cleaned as if what happened never happened, I’m not saying we forget but forgiving releases the pain of it all. Although we know it did happen we are able to move forward cause we made the decision to forgive. Forgiveness always Pushes you to move forward.

When I speak of washing your mind or renewing your mind I mean with the Word of God.

Romans 12:2 NLT version better explains it:

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

Looking at it this way I began to think of how easy it is in the world for us to walk around being mean refusing to forgive people who have did us wrong. Don’t copy means we’re not to react the same way, we have to show a difference. To allow God to transform our mind we have to allow His word show us how to think which is not always easy. At some point as I’ve decided, I have to be willing to let go of everything that the Molestation attached to me which is why I dealt with the Unforgiveness, the Blame, the Shame and I had to find away in it all to be Thankful. I’m thankful for the Pain that I was allowed to feel all these years later because it’s Pushing me into a Bigger Purpose. A Purpose far Bigger than me that will reach so many other people. It’s in that, that I am Thankful and I truly Understand the Importance of me Renewing my Mind and changing how I view my Molestation. Joyce Myers is a great inspiration to me to see how she was Molested by her Father for years to she was as able to Forgive Him and allow the Pain she endured for years to now be a part of her Purpose. It doesn’t define who she is but it makes her Relatable showing that you can Heal and Move forward After the Pain of it all. Going back to Romans 12:2 the second part of the scripture says once we Renew our minds we will then know Gods will for us and it’s Good and Perfect. Aren’t you Ready to Walk in the Good and Perfect Will of God. We’ll Ladies this is How we Start that Walk. Renewing our Minds!!
